Please make yourself familiar with the rules of the competition and each class.

Class Levels for Pet Groomers
NOVICE: 3 years maximum experience in grooming.
OPEN: Over 3 years experience in grooming.
MASTER: If you have won in Open level against two or more competitors.
SUPREME: Group, BIS, RUBIS winners of their chosen breed.
e.g Sophie won group with a Cairn Terrier, (at another competition) but is competing at The Pup Cup with an Airedale. This means she would still be in Masters Class (as she has not won a group with an Airedale). If she was to enter with a Cairn Terrier at this years Pup Cup, she would go into the Supreme Class.
Class Levels for Dog Confirmation Exhibitors

NOVICE: 3 years maximum experience in confirmation showing.
OPEN: Over 3 years experience in confirmation showing.
MASTER: Over 5 year experience in confirmation showing.
SUPREME: Finishing a Grand Champion in their chosen breed.
e.g Sophie has been showing Kerry Blue Terriers for five years. Her bitch is Grand Champion titled. If she entered this years Pup Cup with a Kerry, she would be in the Supreme Class. But if she was to enter with a Bedlington, she would be in Masters.

Pour all your passion into your imagination! Dive into themes, bold colours, and patterns, and showcase your artistic creations on any breed or mixed breed of your choice. Participants may complete up to 80% of the work beforehand and will have 30 Minutes to apply finishing touches and set up a backdrop.

Honouring traditional grooming techniques like handstripping and carding, this category features a variety of wire-coated breeds including the Schnauzer, West Highland White Terrier, Wire-Haired Dachshund, and Border Terrier.

Welcoming dogs with long, glossy coats—like spaniels and setters—to be groomed according to their breed standard.

Welcoming a wide range of dogs and grooming techniques to the ring to enhance the understanding of breed standards. This class features breeds such as the Afghan Hound, Lowchen, Border Collie, Siberian Husky, Pomeranian, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Chinese Crested Dog.

For dogs retired from the show ring or beautiful pets, groomers may clip their shape to reflect the breed standard (Clipped Gundog and Wire-Coated Breeds).

As an additional option, those who wish to pledge can do so here—every contribution goes directly toward powering the event and is tax deductible. Supporters will be proudly acknowledged on our website (unless wishing to remain anonymous). Thank you for helping us bring this vision to life!
The Quokka’s Australian Grooming Team
The Pup Cup is honoured to host the first qualifying event for The Quokka’s.
The Quokka’s has been accepted as the Australian Grooming team to compete in the World Championships run by the European Grooming Association (EGA).
You must be a master or supreme level competitor entered in one or more of the following classes to gain points:
Wire Coat Class (Hand Strip)
Gundog Class (Spaniels and Setters)
Purebred Scissor Class (Scissoring)
Poodle Class
Please note that The Pup Cup will not be advertising any contestants that are attempting to qualify, nor will our judges be notified.
The point score system will be kept and held by The Quokka’s Board and announced through their socials and marketing campaign.
Entrants wishing to qualify will receive a invoice from the board of The Quokka’s.
A payment of $100 (incl GST) will enrol you to being able to qualify.
This payment will secure your point score entry for one or multiple classes chosen for The Pup Cup Dog Grooming Competition 2025.

I understand that the Pup Cup organisers and judges reserve the right to make changes, dismiss, or disqualify competitors who are found to be in breach of the rules. Rules and regulations are subject to change in accordance to The Pup Cup conditions and entrants will be notified if any details are updated via preferred contact method selected by entrants
